Course Options

 

     Healthflex School of Reflexology Inc. offers students the option of enrolling either in a full-classroom 200 hours of study or a Home Study Option.  Please download the School Catalogue for more details on these options.

 

     All students are encouraged to participate in Community Service and the student internship program.  Each student will spend a maximum of 5 hours learning administrative skills and will be balanced by developing therapeutic hands-on experience while working with the general public.

 

     Regular/In-class Curriculum:

 

     The full-classroom curriculum includes 200 hours of classroom instruction in the required subjects of Reflex Theory and History, Clinical Procedures, Anatomy and Physiology, Law and Rules, Hydrotherapy, and Allied Modalities.  While following the In-class curriculum, students may elect to work with the Administration to vary their weekly schedule.

  • Reflexology  (140 hours)
  • Ailments of the Hands & Feet  (5 hours)
  • Structure of the Hands & Feet  (5 hours)
  • Hydrotherapy  (15 hours)
  • Tennessee Law  (5 hours)
  • Allied Modalities  (30 hours)

 

     Home Study Curriculum:

 

     The Home Study option consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 170 hours of home study materials, including written materials and practice sessions to be performed on on other individuals.  Students participating in the Home Study option are required to submit homework, complete tests, and provide evidence of practice session completion.
